Deleting your account

You can delete your Canine Performance Tracker account and the data held with it at any time. You do not need to give a reason.

In the app

If you have the app installed, this is the fastest route and it does not involve contacting anyone. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, type DELETE to confirm, and the deletion runs straight away.

It cannot be undone, and there is no grace period in which the account can be recovered.

If you no longer have the app

Email contact@canineperformancetracker.com from the address your account uses, and say that you want your account deleted. Sending from the account address is how the request is verified — if you no longer have access to it, say so and you will be asked for another way to confirm the account is yours.

Requests sent this way are acknowledged and actioned within 30 days. The deletion itself is the same one the app performs.

What gets deleted

• All of your dogs and their registrations
• All trials, runs and judges you have recorded
• All photos, videos and documents you have uploaded
• Your sign-in account

Your data is removed immediately. Copies held in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.

Your sign-in account is deleted permanently rather than held in a recoverable state, so the email address is free to use again straight away if you ever want to sign up a second time.

Data on your devices

The app keeps a copy of your records on each device so it works without a signal. Deleting your account from inside the app clears that copy on that device as part of the deletion.

Any other device still signed in to the account — a tablet, an old phone — is signed out the next time it reaches the network, but its local copy stays on that device until you uninstall the app there. Uninstalling removes it.

What is kept, and for how long

Diagnostic and error reports are retained on the schedule set out in the Privacy Policy, and records that must be kept to meet a legal obligation are retained for as long as that obligation lasts.

Waitlist emails

If you joined the waitlist on this site but never created an account, that is a separate record from an app account. Every email sent to the list carries an unsubscribe link — use it, and you will be taken off. If you cannot find one, email contact@canineperformancetracker.com and you will be removed by hand.
